About me and my practice

I offer my clients a safe and non-judgemental space and work with deep empathy and discernment, qualities that are crucial to your personal growth. My journey in psychotherapy is not only underpinned by formal training, but enriched by a unique privilege and experience of walking alongside people during their most critical and vulnerable moments.

My background is within the local government sector, where I continue to work with individuals with social needs. These experiences afford me additional valuable insights into the complexities of the human psyche, an understanding of todays societal issues and the profound impact that genuine, empathetic therapy can have.

I adhere to the BACP code of ethics, undergo regular supervision and personal therapy.

Experience

I currently volunteer for a bereavement support charity where I support clients to understand their grief and develop coping strategies. I also run my own private practice.

My areas of experience include Anxiety, Bereavement, Childhood Difficulties, Depression, Diversity, Domestic Abuse (Cultural, Emotional, Financial, Immigration, Neglect, Physical, Sexual), Identity Crisis, Self-Esteem, Trauma and Spirituality.

Following a free 20 minute consultation, if you decide to proceed, we will agree the date and time of your first session. This session will include an assessment which will enable me to further gather information such as your background, concerns, goals, expectations and to better understand your unique situation. This session also gives me the chance to share with you what I am able to offer and together we can identify your specific goals and objectives. This stage is crucial as it helps to place you and I on the same page, so to speak. It also serves as a catalyst for building a good relationship.
